CHRIST
FAMILY CHURCH is a Christ-centered community
of believers. Our mission is to Evangelize, Emancipate, Educate,
and Empower God’s people through fervent worship,
solid Bible teaching and preaching, and sincere evangelism. We strive
to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, to help them
mature and develop as Christians, and to build healthy families.
EVANGELIZE
To preach the Gospel or the good news of Jesus Christ; a zealous effort
to spread the Gospel (Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8, 2 Timothy 4:5)
Achieved through the membership witnessing personally; community outreach
events and programs
EMANCIPATE
To set free; to release from bondage; to free from restraint or influence
(John 8:36, Isaiah. 61:11, Galatians 5:1) Achieved through
accepting Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and the one who brings freedom from
bondage; consistent study of the Word of God; consistent prayer
EDUCATE
To train or develop in knowledge, skill, mind, or character by formal schooling
or study; to teach or instruct (2 Timothy 2:15, Jeremiah 3:15)
Achieved through pastoral preaching and teaching; Christian education programs
EMPOWER
To give power or authority to; to give ability to; to enable (Acts
10:38; Acts 1:8; Matthew 16:19) Achieved through prayer and fasting;
members using their professions and gifts to aid others within the church
and community; workshops on family, finance, budgeting, marriage, home ownership,
health, business, etc.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe
all things that I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even
to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
