Women's Prison Outreach
Directors: Minister Alan and Cheryl Brown
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me . . . I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:35-36, 40)
The Women’s Prison Outreach Ministry ministers to a group that society often scorns and neglects—prisoners. The volunteers that serve in this area count it an honor to go into the prison to share the message of God’s unconditional love with the inmates. Not only is the word of God shared with them, but the love of God is also extended through every volunteer that attends. Members serve at the Women’s Prison three Sundays out of the month.
